Our nannies submit resumes, must have excellent, current references, proof of CPR certification, an “About Me” information sheet and must agree to a background check. In addition, they are personally interviewed before speaking with you. We encourage nannies to participate in continuing education courses to enhance their professional skills.
Our Newborn Care Specialists and Postpartum Doulas must meet our high standard. They must be trained or certified, have newborn-specific knowledge and experience, and submit similar documentation as our nannies.
When you contact us, we will go through an interview with you to find out more about your family and your specific needs. We will work hard to find a Nanny, Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or a Postpartum Doula (PPD) that fits your family’s lifestyle and needs.

We first connected with Lori for postpartum doula services when our daughter was born, and I was recovering from a difficult C-section in November 2023. At that time, she came to our home mostly for overnight assistance, helping us to establish a sleep routine for our infant, talking me through getting a latch for breastfeeding, waking me when I needed to pump, and tending to our daughter in between late night feedings so that we could catch a little sleep in those early days. Lori was a baby whisperer with our daughter; she had a gentle way of soothing her back to sleep that my husband and I watched with awe. Lori was also a coach for us as first-time parents, and she helped put us at ease about all the uncertainties and anxieties we were feeling in those early months. She talked us through how to give our daughter a bath and was the first person we would reach out to for questions about infant care. Even after those earliest days of our daughter’s life, we continued to go to Lori for childcare questions (e.g., establishing a sleep routine, introducing solids, encouraging tummy time, etc.). When I was preparing to return to work, we turned to Lori again because we needed help finding a nanny to come to our home. We don’t have family in the area, and we needed to find someone that we could trust to care for our child. Lori connected us with an experienced nanny who was able to commit to helping us for the first two months that I was back at work. This nanny was excellent, but unfortunately was moving out of town, so it was a short-term position. It was summertime then, so we were able to scrape by with help from a rotation of family, babysitters, and neighbors. In the meantime, we searched independently for nannies and reached out to local daycare options but were unable to identify a good fit. Again, we turned to Lori for her help to find nanny candidates.
